In the 1930’s, the church received glass paintings designed by the artist at Nidarosdomen, Gabriel Kielland. On the west wall, the theme is Jesus with Moses and Elijah on the mountain of transfiguration. On the eastern wall in the chancel, we see Jesus and the evangelists. The picture shown is from the north wall in the chancel and shows the angel and the shepherds on the first Christmas night. On the other side we see the women by the empty grave on Easter morning. All these glass paintings were a gift from factory owner Hjalmar Johnsen of Oslo. «In memory of the fathers in Tingvoll.» His father came from Kristenvika which belonged to Tingvoll at that time; it presently is part of the Gjemnes municipality.
