This group of figures is located in the arch of the chancel. Symbolizing Christ on the cross with His mother Mary below and the apostle John by her side, this group also dates from the time of Tausan but was purchased with funds from the church treasury. The base of the group has probably, at one time, belonged to the top of a closed chair.
Group of figures In the background, we can see part of the arc ceiling in the chancel; it is adorned with stars and «half» moons. In the corner, at the lower end of the arc, there is a dim picture of St. Olav with an axe.
